Architectual green projects

Polehouse Project :architectual / sculptural space with no specific function besides enabling the public to sense space, the volumes and masses which defined and constructed it.

Polehouses in general are built to protect from rising water. The polehouse is used as a metaphor to illustrate a change in nature and perception. A rising level of awareness and a different approach to our environment.
The Polehouse Project evolves around the idea of creating a space that generates a sense of enstrangement as well as feelings of recognition and comfort. A space that evokes a humbleness that forces people to be silent.

The project pivotes around the idea of designing structures and spaces out of granite in way that is not normally done. By using the characteristics of stone, the Polehouses will functioning as a beacon, a point of reflection, capturing human behaviour as they re-read their environment. The size of the building can vary from a turbine hall size one, to that of an old farm shed or public toilet.

The polehouses will be a global project to illustrate the beauty of natural materials. At the same time create a bold and powerful sculptural space that will enhance the site, create a explorationpoint for those visiting, evoke contemplation and will appeal to a wide variety of people.
